Department of economics and industrial politics of Perm city Administration has been created in the structure of the city Administration to increase effectiveness and coordination of activity on involvement of investments. The purpose of the Department activity is contribution to the growth of economic potential of Perm city. Tasks of the Department:
- formation and creation of conditions to implement priorities of industrial policy, directed at strengthening and development of scientific-technical, production and intellectual potential of Perm city;
- increase of industrial productions competitiveness, expansion of their innovative activity, creation of conditions for development of new productions, appearing of new workplaces, carrying out measures to solve problems in social-labour sphere, development of social partnership system;
- implementation of actions on creation of favourable investment climate and involvement of investments in Perm city;
- contribution to business development and creation of conditions to implement business initiatives.

Investment portal of Perm city has been created and it is functioning in Perm city since 2014 (http://invest.gorodperm.ru/). This portal is functioning in three languages: in Russian, English and German. The resource contains detailed information about investment projects, description of the city infrastructure, measures of support that investors can count on.
The special tax calculator for small and medium-sized business entities is located on the portal as well (http://invest.gorodperm.ru/small_business/calc/). With a help of this calculator the entrepreneur, by means of entering data as per the organisational form, type of activity, supposed annual income, supposed annual expenditures, net book value of fixed assets, amount of employed workers, assumed annual salary fund of employed workers as well as territorial location, can calculate the amount of tax payments.
